Added a new skin - "Randomical" (a cross between "Random" and "Radical").
[edit]The idea was to randomly specify stuff and see what happens, which is why it doesn't look very well-put-together. That said, for something completely random it's come out quite well...

It's kind of a Keen rule that you NEVER use GBC graphics... fixed

Hey! Keen GBC was Awesome!
The thing is, when you bring out something that continues a long-running series, everyone's expectations are much higher than normal. Unfortunately, the further down the series, the higher the exectations and the some for the longer the wait. After a 7 year wait for the 8th Keen game, everyone's expectations were too high to be satisfied by anything less than a game of Quake 3 calibre, something impossible on the limited power of the GBC (it ran a Z80 - that wasn't even high-spec in the '80s!) Therefore, despite the fact Keen GBC was a triumph of GBC game-creation, it has never been enough to satisfy hardcore fans, simply because of their unrealistic expectations.
After not having the ability to play Keen for about 5 years (lost the disk), I bought a pre-owned copy of Keen GBC from Game. I found the controls a little weird and the lack of a true saving function an annoyance but for game-play it was brilliant! I even came to respect its saving method of successfully encoding all game data into a 16 character password that you just typed in (a brilliant solution to the memory problem). Sure, the requirement for block-colour sprites meant the graphics left quite a bit to be desired, but what do you expect? It's not like the Dos graphics were much better - the only difference is really the inability to display highlights/shading and textures on a GBC screen.

I do agree that it's underrated, but the graphics and controls aren't Keenish. And besides, I have better pictures of a Fleex
