No. At least not compared to America.

Usually here it's about $6 for an innertube here, that's $6.40 US and 3 pounds 92 pence. At the moment Aldi have 2 for $7 or something ($7.50 US and 4 pounds 47 pence).

Haha OUCH! Were you okay? I was hit by a car the other day - driver decided that they wanted to park where I was riding. I'm okay, but I need a spoke key now to realign the front wheel.

I was hit by a car late last year and my wheels aren't as aligned as they should be - downhilling is now freaking scary!

They're contemplating introducing a requirement for people to wear helmets when cycling here, just like with you in Australia...
Went out again yesterday, but I went to the shops while I was out, so it wasn't as long as it suggests:
Actual time: 72 mins Recorded time: 45 mins 6 secs (so I was in the shop for about 20 mins, given that there's usually some discrepency between the times caused by traffic lights etc anyway) Average speed: 8.1 MPH (I did a lot of offroad and even when onroad I couldn't go fast because of both traffic and the fact that they're resurfacing seemingly the entire village so every road is just rough concrete etc at the moment). Distance: 6.19 Miles (As I wasn't able to go very fast most of the time, 45 mins doesn't let you go very far). Maximum speed: 28 MPH (I did try and max it on the usual hill, but my gears are playing up and keep jumping, so I kept missing changes). Odometer: 207.0
